Jennifer Lawrence has no patience for people telling her how to dress, no matter the temperature.
The “Red Sparrow” star was photographed at an event for the film with Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Matthias Schoenaerts and director Francis Lawrence.
The photo shoot caused controversy when several people noted on social media that Lawrence was seemingly made to wear a revealing dress while the men were all bundled up in coats due to the freezing cold weather.
Some did speculate that Lawrence, known for being outspoken on women’s rights in Hollywood, would have told people to “f*** off” if they tried to force her to go coatless in the cold weather.
It turns out, Lawrence herself agrees with that sentiment. The 27-year-old took to Twitter to call out the controversy, calling it “utterly ridiculous” and writing that she was “extremely offended” that people had made it an issue.
“That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I’m going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf?” she wrote. “I was outside for 5 minutes.”
