If you grew up loving martial arts films, then you’re probably a fan of the 1984 classic The Karate Kid. The underdog story of a scrawny student named Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who learns karate to take on a bully named Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), is a high school story for the ages.
And over the years, the story has been clear; Daniel is the protagonist and Johnny is the antagonist.
