Chase told police that he believed he may have been hit by the truck as it passed, so he followed it with his lights flashing until the driver of the truck pulled over.

He said he then approached the truck and that there were four people in it, including the driver. One of the passengers apparently flipped him off, at which point Chase said he told them, “If I were a lot younger I’d bust your nose.”

One of the passengers then got out of the car, Chase said, and kicked him in the shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground.

Documents in the police report show the truck’s driver claims Chase first tried to throw a punch, and the alleged kicker was simply trying to block the attack.

Police charged the alleged kicker with second-degree harassment with physical contact.
