N.W.A. Crack The Billboard Hot 100 For The First Time Ever

It took a shade over a quarter-century, but N.W.A. finally has a song in the Billboard Hot 100.

Thanks to the success of the group’s blockbuster biopic, “Straight Outta Compton”; has landed at #38 on the fancypants American singles chart. Not too shabby for a track that was released back when Ronald Reagan was in the White House.

The legendary hip-hop outfit have also reemerged on the Billboard 200. Straight Outta Compton peaked at #37 back in the late 80s, but right now you can spot it at #4 (and possibly climbing) on the U.S. album chart. That’s one spot below Dr. Dre’s new offering Compton and a notch above the hits compilation NOW 55.

Maybe “F*** tha Police”; will make an unexpected appearance on NOW 56.
