Amy Poehler and her fellow “Parks and Recreation” collaborators are not happy with the National Rifle Association for using a GIF of her popular sitcom character Leslie Knope.

Following last night’s CNN town hall discussion – where students, teachers and parents of victims from the Parkland, Fla. school shooting gathered to address lawmakers and NRA representatives – the NRA tweeted out a message of support to Dana Loesch, their official spokesperson.

“Thank you for being the voice of over 5 Million #NRA members,” read the tweet, which included a GIF of Poehler as her “Parks” character Knope pointing and saying “Thank you.”

The show’s co-creator, Michael Schur, whose Twitter handle is @KenTremendous, tweeted the NRA asking them to remove the message.

“I would prefer you not use a GIF from a show I worked on to promote your pro-slaughter agenda,” Schur said, before passing along a message from Poehler herself.

“Also, Amy isn’t on Twitter,” he wrote, “but she texted me a message: ‘Can you tweet the NRA for me and tell them I said f**k off?”

Poehler’s former “Parks” co-star Nick Offerman, who played Ron Swanson on the show, shared his thoughts on the matter, using a Knope GIF of his own.

Adam Scott, who played Knope’s husband Ben Wyatt, also chipped in, telling the NRA to “stay the f**k away from Leslie Knope.”

Poehler has yet to comment further on the matter.
