Mark Ruffalo Blasts Trump’s Idea To Arm Teachers At Schools

The U.S. President is suggesting that one way to keep schools safe from gunmen is to arm teachers, but Mark Ruffalo isn’t having any of it.

“The Avengers” actor took to Twitter Thursday to blast Donald Trump’s idea to have teachers trained and armed with guns in the classroom.

Trump had tweeted earlier Thursday morning to clarify his position on arming teachers, stating that he is looking into the “possibility” of giving concealed carry permits only to teachers with military experience or special training.

Ruffalo has been actively speaking out on the issue of gun control, also slamming the NRA after Parkland, Fla. survivor Emma Gonzales confronted a spokesperson for the gun rights organization at a CNN town hall Wednesday night.
