International human rights lawyer and activist Amal Clooney is praising the student survivors of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. for their courage in the aftermath of the Valentine’s Day mass shooting leaving 17 dead.

At the 2018 Watermark Conference for Women in San Jose on Friday, Clooney discussed the $500,000 donation she and husband George Clooney have made to the students’ March For Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C. and student walk-out scheduled for March 24.

“I’m blown away by these students. They are the best vehicle and best hope for change,” she explains to the crowd, confirming she will attend the rally. “The march we’re attending is their march. They give me hope.”

Since the power couple made their donation, others have matched their funds including Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, as well as film exec Jeffrey Katzenberg and wife Marilyn.
