Everyone everywhere is feeling “Black Panther” fever, from the movie theatres to the classroom.
Fourth-grade teacher Tina Bailey welcomed Ohio’s Dayton Leadership Academies students to her classroom while wearing a “Black Panther” mask and greeting them with a special handshake.
The handshake is one used by T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Shuri (Letitia Wright) is Marvel Studio’s latest cinematic blockbuster.
“It’s very exciting, but I just hope that people remember that it was for the kids,” Bailey told Yahoo after a video of her classroom greeting went viral. “Our babies are so stressed out in these areas. You have the low income, you have bullying, you have just different things that are going on in the world.”
“Black Panther” has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, breaking box office records in the process.
