Megan Boone will not support the glorification of assault rifles any longer.

The 34-year-old star of “The Blacklist” took to Twitter Friday to announce her FBI agent character “won’t carry an assault rifle again,” and apologized for helping to give the weapons positive attention.

Boone also clarified for a Twitter user that carrying an assault rifle is not necessarily standard for the kind of FBI agent she portrays.

While many fans didn’t agree with her decision, some on Twitter applauded Boone’s stance in the wake of the tragic shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla.
