As the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle for the past 10 years, Keira Knightley returns in a new advertising film for Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense.
In celebration of the new fragrance, the 32-year-old British actress reprises her mischievous role from past campaigns, playing a “carefree game of seduction.”
Directed by Johan Renck, the latest romantic vision in the Coco Mademoiselle saga showcases Knightley contemplating her Parisian apartment the morning after a wild soiree and eventually abandoning her lover to go about her day.
The new visuals bring to life the continued ideals behind the perfume, which, according to Chanel, “is for all those who wholeheartedly embrace their folly, their passion and their excessiveness with an open smile.”
Speaking of the new fragrance, made from a blend of citrus peel and patchouli wood, Olivier Polge, Perfumer-Creator for the House of Chanel, says, “I wanted to remain close to the original formula, while giving it a whole new dimension.”
He adds, “I wanted to increase the proportions of fractionated patchouli. Push it to the limit. Unleash its power on the skin without altering the freshness of the top notes.”
