James Gunn is having way too much fun chatting with fans about Marvel characters.

The “Guardians Of The Galaxy” director debated with a Twitter user who asked who to save between “Guardians” character Groot and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”’s porgs.

Gunn’s answer was simple but spilled details about the beloved Groot that many diehard fans didn’t know.

Many will remember that in the first “Guardians” flick, Groot sacrificed himself to save the rest of the guardians, but during the end credits, the plant-based hero actually grew back to life.

The adorable Baby Groot made his debut in the sequel to the hit film, but as Gunn said, Baby Groot is actually the original Groot’s son.

The lovable character will return in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” – this time as a teenager – when it hits theatres May 4.
