Late Gord Downie To Be Honoured By Singers Dallas Green And Sarah Harmer At 2018 Junos

Late Canadian musician Gord Downie will receive a tribute in his honour at the 2018 Junos next month.

Singer-songwriters Dallas Green and Sarah Harmer will team up for a tribute performance to the “Tragically Hip” frontman during the broadcast.

“The last time I performed at the Juno Awards in Vancouver, Gord was standing by my side singing with me,” Green said. “This performance will be with a heavy heart, but also a very proud and honoured one. Gord was the gold standard and everything that I hope to be.”

Downie passed away last year after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016.

The 47th annual Juno Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, March 25 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
