Comic book legend Stan Lee has revealed he is battling pneumonia.
The 95-year-old “Spider-Man” and “Black Panther” comics creator said in a video for TMZ Wednesday that the reason he had been out of the spotlight at several recent Marvel events was that he has been suffering from a bout of pneumonia.
“I want you all to know I’m thinking of you. Of course, I always think of the fans, and I hope you’re all doing well, and I miss you all,” Lee said. “I miss your enthusiasm, I miss all your notes, all your photos, and emails.
“I want you to know that I still love you all,” he added.
Lee also said he looks forward to getting over his illness and getting back on his feet. “Maybe I’ll have some of this pneumonia knocked down, and we can have some real fun over the internet,” he said. “Until then, excelsior.”
