Anyone using Waze will hear a familiar voice giving them directions thanks to an innovative new partnership between The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the handy travel and navigation app.

From Sept. 1 through to Sept. 22, the former Colbert Report host is lending his voice to Waze, providing driving instructions, directions and just-plain wacky commentary. When using the app, click on Settings, Sound, Voice Language and choose Stephen Colbert to allow him to help you get where you need to go via your smartphone.

“For years, I navigated the roadways using a compass, a sextant and the guidance offered by the stars,” quips Colbert. “But now I can just listen to my own dulcet tones instructing me on Waze.”

In this video, Colbert explains how to get on the road with him as your guide, explaining some of the comments Waze users will be hearing him utter — and don’t forget, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres Tuesday, Sept. 8 on Global.
