Singer-songwriter Rachel Platten performed a special rendition of her hit “Fight Song”; last month with a duet partner that’s more than worthy of your attention.

Platten made a surprise appearance at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to meet Jeremiah Succar, a 7-year-old that’s been diagnosed with stage-four atypical rhabdoid teratoid and has wrapped up his second round of chemotherapy. Succar has turned “Fight Song”; into his own anthem as he receives treatment.

“Jeremiah loves “Fight Song’—he memorized the lyrics after three or four times of listening to it,”; shared his father. “He used to sing it when he got a lot of headaches, but now he sings it in the morning, before bed and during shots he has to get.”;

A social media campaign armed with the hashtag #RachelMeetJeremiah got Platten’s attention and she came to visit and share the song with her brave fan.

Here’s a heartmelting video of the #RachelMeetJeremiah meeting in action with the pair singing “Fight Song”; from Jeremiah Succar’s bed.
