A tension-filled house packed with cranky celebrities usually provides more than enough drama on the U.K. edition of Big Brother, but last night’s show got a whole lot more dramatic than usual when Janice Dickinson collapsed on the air after suffering a bee sting — with sources claiming she “almost died.”;
As reported by TMZ, Dickinson had been stung on the show (which, unlike North America’s Big Brother and Big Brother Canada, casts small-c celebrities each season, not civilians), and was being filmed in the Diary Room as she was clearly in distress, begging producers to bring her an EpiPen.

Apparently highly allergic to bee stings, Dickinson showed her hand to a producer — which had begun changing colour as her fingers took on a purplish hue — and claimed she was having trouble breathing.
“I don’t want it to reach my heart,”; she exclaimed, before appearing to have a seizure and collapsing, falling off the chair.
A rep for the show tells TMZ that “Janice was taken to a hospital for a few hours for treatment, and then returned to the house.”;

However, TMZ also adds that “sources who were in contact with Janice during her hospital visit tell TMZ … it was very serious and Janice “almost died.’ We’re told she’s extremely allergic, but didn’t have her own EpiPen with her in the house.”;
The fact that she has returned to the Big Brother house, adds TMZ, is likely an indication that Dickinson is OK, although show reps aren’t commenting any further on her condition.
