Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway may be a fresh-faced beauty on the October cover of Glamour magazine, but inside the 32-year-old reveals that she’s been losing out on roles to younger actresses.

“When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I’m in my early thirties and I’m like, “Why did that 24-year-old get that part?’,” she revealed. “I was that 24-year-old once, I can’t be upset about it, it’s the way things are.”

Hathaway’s words echo similar comments about ageism in Hollywood from leading ladies, Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Helen Mirren.
