If we’ve said it once, we’ll say it a million times, celebrities are people too folks and when you don’t treat them as such, you get yourself into a situation like ITV’s Kate Garraway.

The breakfast TV reporter stepped in for her sick colleague Lorraine Kelly, but ended up putting “Tomb Raider” star Alicia Vikander through a very awkward interview.

“You got married all privately in Ibiza,” Garraway says, bringing up her recent wedding to Michael Fassbender.

“Well, I’ve had probably the happiest year, yes,” Vikander answers.

But the cringe doesn’t end there, as Garraway continues to probe the notably private star about her marriage, saying “it suits you, being married,” before commenting on how private the pair is about their relationship.

To which Alicia replies, “It’s a lovely thing to choose to be private, even though you’ve got this career.”

Twitter users were quick to catch on, tweeting their responses to the interview:

During a less awkward moment in the interview, the Swedish actress made mention of what it feels like, taking on the role of Lara Croft, originally held by Angelina Jolie.

“I grew up playing the game actually and saw Angelina Jolie up on the screen, it meant a huge amount back then to finally see a woman lead that kind of action film,” she said. “I could not lift my own weight when I started this film – I [needed] to get this kind of physique.” Noting, that her hard work hasn’t necessarily stuck around, “It all goes away sadly, very quickly.”

“Tomb Raider” hits theatres March 16.
