The opening sentence from today’s Gary Oldman article may be more fitting here: “Talk about a family feud.”
Tommy Lee was allegedly assaulted by his son Brandon Lee and ended up in the hospital.
Police were called to Lee’s California home on Monday night, according to TMZ. No arrests were made.
On Wednesday TMZ reported that police have confirmed Brandon and Tommy were arguing over a social media post. According to officers, Lee is intent on pressing charges against his eldest son. According to the police report, alcohol was not involved in the incident.
The Blast reported Lee called law enforcement out of fear his son had access to firearms. The publication said a battery report was filed by police and Brandon is currently under investigation.
Lee, 55, posted a photo on social media of his bloodied and swollen lips. “My heart is broken,” wrote Lee. “You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you.”
The Motley Crue member also reportedly shared a video of Brandon’s messy room.
Lee contested TMZ‘s report in a tweet on Tuesday. “Hey TMZ, maybe get your facts straight before you go reporting bulls**t,” he tweeted. “My fiancee and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me.”
“I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious,” he continued. “He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.”
TMZ later obtained audio of the 911 call, in which Lee’s fiancee tells the dispatcher she locked the door because “my stepson has guns in his room.” She later called back to cancel the paramedics who were on their way after Lee regained consciousness, but the EMTs insisted on coming.
