Becca Kufrin’s fans are more up-in-arms than she is.
“The Bachelor” star is defending the TV show for airing the unedited footage of her breakup with her fiance Arie Luyendyk Jr.
While fans of the show were upset with the show’s seemingly insensitive handling of the breakup, Kufrin told Chris Harrison it was important to air the scene in full.
“I signed up for this knowing what it was and that my life would be documented,” said Kufrin.
Several other contestants and friends of Kufrin said the unedited footage showed just how strong Kufrin was.
ABC executive Robert Mills told ET that Luyendyk’s decision to breakup on-air was his choice and his choice alone.
“Of course he could have done it off camera if he wanted to! I think we certainly would have explained why… this still would have played out fairly similarly,” he said. “You can’t force somebody into doing something.”
The footage sparked backlash from both members of “The Bachelor”
