Ed Sheeran gave one fan the experience of her life before a concert in Australia on Wednesday.
The “Shape of You” singer met with 5-year-old Holley Lavington, who has been terminally diagnosed with the rare genetic condition Batten Disease.
Sheeran posed for photos with Lavington and her family and singed T-shirts for her before getting on stage to perform.
“Today Holley got to meet her favorite singer Ed Sheeran for a meet and greet, such an amazing experience for Holley,” a post on Facebook said. “What a great humble guy x.”
In an interview with Australia’s Herald Sun, Lavington’s mother Tina described meeting Sheeran as a “dream come true” for Holley.
“She was so happy to see him… her eyesight is limited so she wasn’t sure who it was at first. But when she worked it out, her face just lit up,” Tina said. “We spoke about Holley and he asked about the disease, and also about how much she liked his music. He’s a really humble, lovely guy, very generous with his time.”
