Jessica Chastain donated $2,000 to a woman’s GoFundMe page Thursday after the lady in question left a comment on her Instagram profile questioning the star’s pro-choice beliefs.
Chastain, 40, had taken to the social media app to celebrate International Women’s Day by posting a snap of herself in a “We should all be feminists” top.
The actress shared the shot alongside the caption: “FEMINISM: the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes #happyinternationalwomensday @renatocampora.”
However, Karin Schulz was quick to point out: “Yes feminists that believe in God and stand up for The Unborn. I would be for that kind of feminist,” to which Chastain replied: “Yes you can decide what is right for you. I am pro-choice and I believe that everyone has the right to make their own decision.”
The star then added, “I read about your journey to become a mother and it broke my heart. I hope that your dream will come true in 2018! Much love to you.”
Chastain didn’t end her comments there, with her also taking to Schulz’s fundraising page to leave another heartwarming message. Schulz and her husband Jeremy had set up the profile to raise money for infertility treatments after she was told she’d struggle to have children due to her age.
After donating $2,000 to the cause, Chastain wrote: “You’ll be wonderful parents who teach love by example. Someday you’ll hold your baby. Don’t give up ❤.”
Schulz, who went into detail about her desire to have children on the GoFundMe profile, has now managed to raise $3,110 of her $5,000 goal.
Her description on the profile read: “I so longed for the day I would be able to be pregnant and feel a baby move within me. I so look forward to the day that I will be able to snuggle with a baby and care for him. I look forward to teaching him and sharing the love of Jesus with him.”
“I can’t even tell you how many dreams I have had of Jeremy and me holding hands while pushing a baby stroller,” she added.
