Ellen DeGeneres is usually the one asking the questions on her daytime talk show, but today she was in the hot seat as a guest on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show, where she discussed everything from Caitlyn Jenner’s stance on gay marriage to tabloid rumours about her marriage to Portia de Rossi.

In the wide-ranging interview, the 57-year-old discussed how Jenner made a recent appearance on her show, but noted that her views on gay marriage seem contradictory.
“She still has a judgment about gay marriage,”; DeGeneres says of Jenner. “You’re wanting people to understand and accept you, this is like really confusing to people.”;
DeGeneres also opened up about tabloid rumours that she and her Portia are splitting up.

“We don’t know anything about it until somebody tells us,”; she says. “We really don’t almost break up, we don’t fight and we are madly in love and I guess it’s boring.”;
Ellen also discussed her brief stint as a judge on American Idol, and admitted she didn’t enjoy her gig on the hit singing competition series.
“That’s one of the worst decisions I’ve made,” she said.
“As a fan of the shows, it doesn’t matter that I sing or I know anything about pitch or anything, I’m like everybody else at home. It’s American Idol,” she adds. “So I thought, “I’m gonna represent those people at home that have opinions’… but then I just thought, like Howard says, I can’t break this person’s heart. Let somebody else do that.”
