Even Hollywood’s A-listers are in awe of Meryl Streep.

On “Late Night With Seth Meyers”, Reese Witherspoon dished on season 2 details of the Emmy-winning “Big Little Lies”, including how she and Nicole Kidman fan-girled over Meryl Streep when the actress signed on to play mother-in-law to Kidman’s character, Celeste.

“She sent an email to Nicole Kidman and I and it said, ‘Okay, I read the part and I love it and I’m going to do it,'” Witherspoon gushes. “I like dropped the phone and then I called Nicole and was like, ‘Is this real life?’ And then I got off the phone with Nicole and hugged myself gently for a minute. ‘This is really happening, you’re working with Meryl Streep.'”

“And then I called the writer and said, ‘You better write me good scenes with Meryl Streep,'” she mock threatens.

Both Witherspoon and Kidman have each appeared opposite Streep in the past. Witherspoon and Streep were both in the 2007 film “Rendition”, and Kidman won an Oscar for her role as author Virginia Woolf in 2002’s “The Hours” opposite Streep.

“A Wrinkle In Time” star Witherspoon, who is also an executive producer of “Big Little Lies”, confirmed the new season starts filming next week with the entire cast, including Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz set to return.

“Y’all we’re starting next Friday on ‘Big Little Lies 2, I can’t believe it,” the actress says.
