The Canadian Academy of Film and Television announced the winners of the Golden Screen Awards ahead of Sunday night’s ceremony.

Recognizing the country’s most-watched television programs, this year’s TV winners are “Murdoch Mysteries” in the drama category and “The Amazing Race Canada” in the reality TV category.

The winner of the Golden Screen Award for most popular feature film was awarded to Quebecois comedy “De pere en flic 2”, starring Michel Cote, Louis-Jose Houde and Karine Vanasse. The movie was the country’s top-grossing Canadian film of the year, earning over $6.5 million domestically.

“The Golden Screen Awards give us an opportunity to highlight Canada’s most popular film and television productions,” says Martin Katz, Chair of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television via statement. “I hope Canadians continue to be inspired by the high quality television and films we produce, and to enjoy them at home and at the theatre.”
