‘Thor’ Actress Jaimie Alexander Suffers Burst Appendix

Not even a ruptured appendix can keep an Asgardian warrior down.

The “Thor” actress and “Blindspot” star updated fans on her condition after being rushed to the hospital.

Alexander, 33, suffered an appendix rupture but promised followers she was quickly “on the mend.”

“Just wanted to say a quick hello and let you all know that one of my favourite episodes is TONIGHT!” she tweeted.  “I’m so excited for you all to see it.”

Alexander got her big television break in 2006 as a star of “Watch Over Me” after one-off appearances on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Standoff”.

She appeared in movies including “The Other Side” and “Love & Other Drugs” before snagging the role of Sif in “Thor”, a role she reprised in “Thor: The Dark World” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

The actress currently stars on NBC’s crime drama “Blindspot”.
