James Blunt has never been one to hold back on social media and he’s now made a dig at John Mayer, accusing the star of copying his 2004 hit “You’re Beautiful”.
Blunt, 44, who regularly hits headlines due to his hilarious Twitter comebacks, unearthed a tweet which Mayer, 40, had written back in October 2017.
Mayer posted at the time: “If you’re pretty, you’re pretty; but the only way to be beautiful is to be loving. Otherwise, it’s just ‘congratulations about your face.’”

Blunt then insisted he had “covered this already,” which, unsurprisingly, sparked quite the social media frenzy.
One person called the singer “the Master of Burns,” while another insisted Blunt “spares no-one.”

Despite the majority finding the whole thing amusing, one questioned why Blunt had been scrolling through Mayer’s Twitter feed in the first place.
