Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and director Paul Feig are pledging to do their part to boost diversity in the entertainment industry.
Affleck and Damon’s production company Pearl Street announced Monday that they will be including an inclusion rider in all production deals going forward.
The news was announced on Twitter by the company’s head of strategic outreach Fanshen Cox DiGiovanni in response to a tweet from Michael B. Jordan in which he announced his own production company would be adopting the rider.
Meanwhile, Feig, who directed “Bridesmaids” and “Spy”, took to Twitter Tuesday to announce he was also joining the movement to require inclusion riders through his production company Feigco Entertainment.
Inclusion riders require gender and racial diversity on productions, and gained attention at the recent Oscars when Best Actress-winner Frances McDormand encouraged actors and others in the industry to put them in their contracts.
