Taylor Swift’s army of fans have become convinced they’ve found an array of hidden references to the star’s current boyfriend Joe Alwyn after she released her new music video for “Delicate” on Sunday.
Swift, 28, is known to send the odd message to her partner or former beau in her tracks and the latest release has been rumoured to be about Alwyn, 27, who she’s thought to have been dating since the start of last year.
Fans immediately speculated that the lyrics were about Swift’s romance, with her singing: “This ain’t for the best / My reputation’s never been worse, so / You must like me for me.”
Swifties then seemingly noticed numerous nods to her other half in the recently-released clip, with her dancing in front of a sign which read “Joe’s Deli.” And they didn’t end things there… one eagle-eyed viewer also pointed out that Deli is short for Delicatessen, which must mean Swift was spelling out “Joe’s Delicate.”
Fans also picked up on the fact Swift seemingly spelled out “Joe” with her body as she danced around in a bright blue dress, while others insisted it was Alwyn who handed her the note at the end because “he wants her to be happy with herself when no-one is watching and when they are there.”
