Pearl Jam Confirm Upcoming Album, Release First New Song Since 2013

Pearl Jam fans don’t have to wait much longer — a new album from the band is on the way, their first since 2013, and they’re giving fans a taste.

On Monday, the band dropped their first new original song since their last album, 2013’s Lightning Bolt.

The track, titled “Can’t Deny Me” was released early for members of the band’s Ten Club fan site this weekend, according to Entertainment Weekly, with the added tease that a full album was also on the way.

“Can’t Deny Me” appears to many to be about Donald Trump, though he is not mentioned by name, with lyrics, “Your lies are sick/They’re sick and they’re vile” and “Where’s your vocabulary/Your ignorance is sinful.”
