Netflix have unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming western movie “Paradox” ahead of its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 15.
The flick, which then drops on Netflix on March 23, has been dubbed “a fantasy, a loud poem and a free-spirited tale of music and love” and tells the tale of a group of outlaws who have set up camp in the mountains.
Neil Young makes his debut in the recently released teaser for the Daryl Hannah-directed film, with him playing the role of the “shady” Man in the Black Hat.
The movie, which is “set sometime in the future past” and sees musicians and cowboys spend their days looking for treasure while waiting for the full moon to lend its magic, also stars brothers Micah and Lukas Nelson, who portray the Particle Kid and Jail Time.
Despite little being given away in the short clip, it does show Young, who will also be releasing a soundtrack album, with the Promise of the Real bandmates playing the guitar. The end of the trailer also cryptically cuts to a person’s feet being lifted off the ground.
The synopsis concludes, “Vibrating with original music by Young + Promise of the Real, ‘Paradox’ furthers the legacy of an iconic performer who has always broken the rules.”
