A man has become a viral sensation after he single-handedly rescued a Boston police van which had got stuck in the snow… all while dressed as Elsa from “Frozen”.

The man in question, which PEOPLE have since identified as Jason Triplett, 37, an attorney from Boston, could be seen pushing the bandwagon in Elsa’s trademark turquoise dress and blonde wig, as people could be heard cheering him on from inside a bar named The Gallows.

The hilarious video was shared online by Christopher B. Haynes and had, unsurprisingly, bagged well over 200,000 views in just over an hour.

Haynes captioned the clip, which has now had over 1.4 million views, “Yup, that just happened. Drag ‘Elsa’ just single-handedly pushed out a stuck police wagon. Only in the South End and The Gallows.”

He added to PEOPLE, “The Gallows is just one of those places that everybody in the neighbourhood everyone knows is open on a snow day.

“It was rowdy. All of a sudden these drag queens come in, and one of them dressed as Elsa. He was like ‘I wanted to blend in tonight so I threw this on.’ Nobody even knew this cop was stuck, but he ran out to help.”

Those who chose to take shelter inside the pub could be heard screaming “Let it go!” as the van was eventually able to get going again.

Despite his new-found fame, Triplett insisted: “Everyone will be over it by noon. But if this is my 15 minutes, I would like to leverage it to meet Adam Rippon.”

The Gallows’ manager, Allegra Wolff, added of the whole thing: “A police officer came in for some burgers and left, but got stuck in the snow.

“We were super busy, and Elsa and some of her friends came in and were dancing around having cocktails. Elsa was the first one to run and prance out and help. It was amazing. He started pushing with all his might, and finally got the car unstuck.”
