Bill Murray loves to do the unexpected, including public poetry recitals.

The actor was hanging around Austin for the South by Southwest festival last week when Entertainment Weekly saw him on a street corner with a crowd watching.

Dressed in overalls, Murray performed a recital of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s poem “Dog” while a cellist accompanied him with music by Johann Sebastian Bach in the background.

Murray was at SXSW to promote “Isle of Dogs”, Wes Anderson’s new animated film also starring Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, and Scarlett Johansson, in theatres March 23.
