Trey Songz turned himself over to the Los Angeles Police Department and is facing a domestic violence charge after Andrea Buera accused him of physically striking her at a party.
The pair attended NBA All-Star Weekend in the Hollywood Hills in February where the incident allegedly happened.
Buera immediately reported the assault to police and sought medical attention.
Earlier this month, Buera asked a judge for a restraining order against the singer.
According to TMZ, Songz, 33, was arrested early Monday morning, just before tweeting about the arrest.

“For weeks my lawyers and management have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed, but this morning I feel that my family, the women that raised me, my friends and fans especially the youth need to hear from me,” he wrote. “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
Songz posted a $50,000 bond.
