Shawn Mendes is back! The Canadian singer-songwriter sent the internet into a frenzy Wednesday when he released his brand new track “In My Blood”.
The 19-year-old unveiled at midnight the first single from his upcoming third studio album, which doesn’t have a release date or title as of yet, and it didn’t take long before his army of fans were commenting in droves to say how much they loved it.
Mendes took to Instagram before releasing the eagerly anticipated track to thank his fans for being so patient.
His message included, “This song is the closest song to my heart that I’ve ever written and I hope you guys love it and all the new music coming your way.”

“I’ve been working on my next album, album three. We spent a month in Los Angeles. We’ve gone all in and are just going to see what comes out.”
“I think people will be surprised, but I’m not sure about the sound yet. I’m still exploring and trying to figure myself out. Anything is possible.”
