WWE legend Hulk Hogan may be making his return to the company that made him a household name.
According to PWInsider, WWE officials confirmed on Thursday that they had been in talks with Hogan about the return to the company for several weeks.
WWE issued a statement to PWInsider: “We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (a.k.a. Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”
There is no confirmation on the role that the 64-year-old would play, but there are rumours that he could take over the authoritative duties for SmackDown after Shane McMahon took an “indefinite leave of absence” as SmackDown commissioner.
PWInsider also noted that Hogan could potentially reprise his role as WWE Ambassador, rather than an on-air performer.
Back in 2015, WWE cut all ties with Hogan after footage surfaced of him making racially insensitive comments towards African-Americans.
People expressed their mixed feelings about Hogan’s potential return on Twitter:
