If you’re a fan of Kanye West and “The Office”, you’ll bow down to the creator of this epic mashup.
In a hilarious new video, clips from the beloved NBC sitcom are cleverly used to illuminate some of Yeezy’s most popular albums.
Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is seen attempting to ride the rails, hobo-style, which fits in perfectly with the themes in West’s 2004 “The College Dropout”, as the Dunder Mifflin manager explains that he’s “blowing Dodge. I’m gettin’ out of town. Whatever you call it, I’m running away from my responsibilities. It feels good.”
For the 2005 release “Late Registration”, Michael’s bizarre description of the inner workings of jazz music fits perfectly, while Angela’s (Angela Kinsey) declaration to Dwight (Rainn Wilson) that “Jazz is stupid!” is an apt characterization of the 2007 followup, “Graduation”.
Further examples include the staff’s Dunder Mifflin jingle (and Michael’s disdain for it because it’s not a rap) used to describe 2008’s “808s & Heartbreak” and Michael and Dwight’s infamous “Lazy Scranton” rap paired with 2011’s “Watch the Throne”.
