Tommy’s favourite supermodel Gigi Hadid shared the stage with her sister, Bella, Lizzy Jagger, and Hailey Baldwin, who walked for the first time ever. The ladies took everyone on vacation with Tommy’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week.
The iconic preppy brand has been around since the ’80s when Tommy started designing at just 18 years old. Now he is a globally-recognized designer of apparel, accessories, house and home decor, and philanthropy work.
“It’s about evolution of the brand it’s about carrying it forward,” said Hilfiger.
Tommy Hilfiger has worked with every major celebrity in the biz including Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Georgia May Jagger, and Rafael Nadal who is the chiseled new face of Tommy Hilfiger Underwear.
On his 30th anniversary Tommy’s collection channeled a ’70s hippy chic vibe that is inspired by his life when he’s not working.
“I spend a lot of time on the beach with my family surrounded by palm trees and idyllic life so it’s very inspirational when I’m not working and it’s very aspirational,” he said.
Hilfiger is currently writing a tell-all memoir—the ups and downs, and highs and lows of his career— that is scheduled to be released in 2016.
