Stephen Amell ‘Totally Respects’ Willa Holland’s Decision To Leave ‘Arrow’

Stephen Amell is opening up about his on-screen sister’s departure from “Arrow”.

The Canadian actor talked to TV Line about Willa Holland’s exit from the show after portraying Thea Queen for six seasons.

“Willa was nothing short of professional and excellent, and always delivered tremendous performances,” said Amell.

“But I know that she wanted to move on with her career. And I totally respect that,” he continued. “And I’m glad that she’s going to get that opportunity.”

The news may have come as a shock to some fans, but the “Arrow” team was well aware of Holland’s ambitions outside of the show.

Showrunner Marc Guggenheim previously said they had been working on writing the actress out of the show, at her request, since season four.

Season six of “Arrow” premiered in Oct. 2017 and concludes on Apr. 19.
