As the father of two children, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a hands-on dad — and that extends all the way back to his kids’ births.

Paying a visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, the “Walking Dead” star revealed that he was involved with helping to deliver George, his newborn daughter with wife Hilarie Burton (“One Tree Hill”), as was also the case with the birth of the couple’s first child, Gus, now 8.

“I did the same with Gus, too and we went all natural,” the grey-bearded actor told host Jimmy Kimmel. “We had a midwife, you know. My wife is full-on tough, like no drugs, no nothing. I was freaking out of my mind and she was great.”

Morgan admitted that he was better equipped to handle the situation the second time around.

“For Gus, I wasn’t prepped for this,” he explained. “No one said, ‘You’re going to catch the baby.’ It’s kind of what happens. The midwife kind of stepped aside and said, ‘Get on in there,’ and I kind of panicked. I dropped the ball essentially and [the baby] had a bit of a cone head for awhile.”

Thankfully, that wasn’t the case with his daughter. “With George, knowing what I knew, I grabbed her by her little cheeks and had her out in three seconds,” he declared.
