Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning are celebrating the punk revolution in the 1970s-set sci-fi dramedy “How To Talk To Girls At Parties”.
Buzz around the film died out following its Cannes Film Festival premiere last year, but now there’s a brand new trailer introducing us to Fanning’s rebellious teen alien, Zan.
Embarking on a one-night romance with a British teen, Zan finds herself at odds with her alien leader Queen Boadicea, played by Kidman. There’s plenty of latex, leather jackets and of course, music to set the frenetic pace of the film which is all based on a short story by author Neil Gaiman.
A tribute to sci-fi, coming-of-age teen stories and London’s punk scene, “How To Talk To Girls At Parties” reunites Kidman with her “Rabbit Hole” director and “Hedwig And The Angry Inch” creator John Cameron Mitchell.
The film does not yet have a Canadian release date but will premiere in the U.S. in May.
