Pop has never shied away from the theatrical, but a fun new hashtag is amping things up a bit.
As you may have noticed, #15secondshakespeare is starting to take Twitter and Instagram by storm. Actors have been transforming beloved hits into modern day Bard style offerings to the delight of the internet. This Shakespearean sensation has managed to get stars like Karen Gillan, Minnie Driver and Phill Lewis onboard.
Actor David Fynn brought this fun activity into the world by running the Fresh Prince theme through his internal soliloquy filter. In a bid to turn this trend into something that can lend a hand as well as entertain, Fynn has encouraged people participating in the project to donate to the Red Cross’ refugee aid efforts before filming their contribution.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the #15secondshakespeare campaign.
