Not only is Shakira an internationally famous pop star, but the “Hips Don’t Lie”; singer is also a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, and she appeared at the UN yesterday to deliver an impassioned cover of John Lennon’s iconic “Imagine”; on the same day that Pope Francis appeared before the United Nations General Assembly.
Shakira dedicated the song to Aylan and Ghalib Kurdi, two young Syrian boys who drowned while fleeing from the violence in the war-torn nation.
