Seth Rogen stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday night to discuss his upcoming projects and his charity work, but it wouldn’t be a true Rogen interview without some marijuana chat.
The “Knocked Up” star told Kimmel about an awkward encounter with Steven Spielberg at an Oscars party, where the legendary director approached Rogen right after he had lit up a joint.
“I was like, Do I stop? Do I just hold it? That’s weird,” the 35-year-old actor explained. “I just have to keep smoking… and I just kept smoking it, in Steven Spielberg’s face, as I saw the look on his face where he’s just like, I’m never working with this motherf**ker ever again.”
Later in the show, Rogen talked about joining a fraternity at the University of Vermont and smoking weed with students, which led to Kimmel naming the “Mount Rushmore” of weed smokers, which for him included Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Woody Harrelson, and now, Seth Rogen himself.
Outside of the weed talk, Rogen promoted his new Netflix special, “Hilarity For Charity,” a star-filled show that includes a mix of standup, sketches, and music, all in aid of Alzheimer’s research. The comedy extravaganza features Tiffany Haddish, Kumail Nanjiani, Sarah Silverman, and Jeff Goldblum, and is now streaming on Netflix.
Rogen also talked about his new movie “Blockers,” or “C**k Blockers” to give it its full title, which Rogen did throughout the interview. But if you thought that title was crazy, Rogen was shocked to see the insane translations of the movie title in other countries, the best being Taiwan’s “Operation: Chicken Container”.
“Blockers” is released in theatres Friday.
