As part of Pope Francis’ tour of the U.S., the Pontiff attended the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, a festival that included performances by Aretha Franklin, Andrea Boccelli, Juanes and The Fray, with host Mark Wahlberg introducing the acts.

Following a performance from a young soloist, Wahlberg related a story to the crowd.

“That right there is the voice of an angel,”; said Wahlberg of the boy who had just finished singing, “but then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted. I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age.”;

As a result, Wahlberg turned to the Pope and said: “Holy Father, please forgive me. I’ve always hoped that the good Lord has a sense of humour when it comes and pertains to many of the movies that I’ve made.”; Watch:
