Tom Holland was one of the guests on the latest episode of the BBC’s “Graham Norton Show”, and the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star opened up about the time he met Madonna — and wound up completely embarrassing himself in front of the pop icon.
As Holland tells host Graham Norton, he and a friend were attending an after-party at a nightclub when he ran into somebody he knew.
“An old friend of mine who’s a manager comes up to me and is like, ‘Tom! Tom! Do you know Madonna?’ And I’m like, ‘Funny enough, no.’ So, he drags me across this nightclub and introduces me to Madonna,” says the star of the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” in the clip above.
When his friend saw that Holland was awed and tongue-tied, he stepped in to offers some help — or so he thought.
“[My friend] can see me panicking and goes, ‘Madonna, Tom is an incredible dancer.’ She goes, ‘Really? That’s something I’d love to see — show me!'” recalls Holland.
“I start dancing with her and — there’s not much arms involved, I’m just doing a little two-step to try to warm myself up — and she’s so unimpressed,” Holland admits. “I just bailed and left. I just leave Madonna on the dance floor.”
