John Stamos and Matt Lauer got into a spirited slap-fight on this morning’s Today Show — but it was all in fun.
Appearing on Today to promote his new sitcom Grandfathered, Stamos and Lauer discuss a scene from the show in which his character, a lifelong bachelor, discovers that not only is he a father, but also a grandfather, and reacts by slapping the person who gives him the news.
“Is it harder as an actor to slap someone, or be the guy that gets slapped, knowing it’s coming?” asks Lauer.
“You tell me,” responds Stamos, at which point the pair indulge in a bit of choreographed fake slapping. Watch:
