Ryan Seacrest surprised “American Idol” fans Sunday night as he showed off his singing skills by belting out “Hello” with Lionel Richie.
Seacrest, 43, joined Richie, 68, and contestant Brandon Diaz to sing the smash hit as the Top 24 battled it out to reach the final stages of the competition.
The host went onstage and sang “Hello” then declared his love for Richie, while fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan danced along beside them.
The epic performance quickly got people talking on Twitter, with social media users gushing over Seacrest’s freshly revealed dulcet tones.

Sunday’s show also saw Perry’s parents, Mary and Keith Hudson, surprise their daughter by appearing on the show.
The pair wasted no time in insulting the pop superstar, with Perry’s mom saying: “She’s still the bird, she’s still mouthy.
“She’s the middle child; they always want the most attention.”
