Season 8 of “Game of Thrones” is going to be epic.
Many fans were disappointed to learn the show’s final season would not premiere until 2019, but it is for good reason.
The HBO show just finished filming a battle scene that took 55 nights to shoot. The news was revealed by assistant director Jonathan Quinlan in a now-deleted Instagram photo.
“This is for the Night Dragons,” reads a physical letter snapped by Quinlan and screenshot by another Instagram user. “For enduring 55 straight nights. For enduring the cold, the show, the rain, the mud, the sheep sh*t of Toome and the winds of Magheramorne.”
The six episodes of the eighth and final “GoT” season are being promoted by some as six mini-movies.
