The Weeknd has a knack for publishing artistic music videos to compliment his unique sound.
The Canadian singer’s visuals for “Call Out My Name” paint dark, chilling and bizarre scenes for him to saunter through.
In one scene, a swarm of bats spew from The Weeknd’s mouth and hang frozen in time.
Another figure also featured prominently in the video is a horned woman in white, an example of what some fans are describing as “demonic” imagery. This is juxtaposed by The Weeknd’s all black attire and a small cross hanging around his neck.
“Call Out My Name” is a single from The Weeknd’s surprise EP “My Dear Melancholy”, which was released March 30.
All six tracks from the project charted on the Hot 100’s Top 40, an almost unprecedented achievement.
